hahaha okay here:
Japanese Chocolate Cake
Ingredients:
1 stick butter
3 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 cup oil
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
pinch salt
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
Directions: Bring first four ingredients to a boil. When heated, transfer to a mixer and stir in next 3 ingredients. Add eggs. While beating, let soda dissolve in buttermilk. Add vanilla to chocolate mixtur, then add the buttermilk/soda in. Bake in greased 13x9 in. pan at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Japanese Chocolate Frosting
Ingredients:
1 stick butter
3 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa
6 Tbsp. milk
1 lb. powdered sugar (use more or less depending on how sweet you want it to be)
1 tsp. vanilla
Directions: Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil. Transfer to mixer and add in powdered sugar. Beat until smooth. Add vanilla. Spread frosting on cake when both have cooled.

coolio! i think it's awesome how we both like japanese stuff. food, too. if you find anymore recipes, let me know! i'm gonna start looking for one for taiyaki lol! ~

1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 Tbs. cornstarch
3 Tbs. water
3 large eggs, room temperature
2 Tbs. honey (optional)
1 1/2 cups anko, room temperatureSift together the flour, baking powder, and cornstarch. Set aside.
Beat together the eggs, honey, if using, and sugar till frothy and to it add the flour mixture and water. Whip till smooth.
Preheat a taiyaki-ki and brush it lightly with oil. Pour in a small amount of batter to the preheated pan, add a tablespoon of anko and more batter as necessary to fill in the details. Close and latch the pan.
Turn the heat to medium low and cook about 30 seconds then turn the pan over. Heat evenly for a minute and turn again. Repeat. The taiyaki are done when you can easily open the iron and the taiyaki are a golden brown, about 4 minutes. Serve immediately.
Makes 12 Taiyaki
